Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Implement and manage

  views

  (including various types),

  partitions

  , and

  global temporary tables

  .
• Perform

  SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning

  using advanced techniques such as:
• SQL scans, hints, explain plans
• Statistics gathering, index fragmentation analysis, and index reorganization
• PL/SQL tuning including parameter sniffing and use of profilers
• Conduct

  application-level tuning

  using tools like

  AWR Reports

  .
• Work with

  collections

  ,

  bulk collect

  , and

  bulk bind

  for optimized data processing.
• Utilize

  pragma autonomous transactions

  for independent transaction control.
• Collaborate with ETL teams to design and optimize data pipelines, leveraging ETL tools and storage solutions.
• Provide

  Java integration support

  and troubleshoot PL/SQL-Java interactions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment activities.
• Document technical specifications and maintain code repositories.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices and coding standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum

  8 years of hands-on experience

  in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong understanding of

  database architecture

  ,

  data modeling

  , and

  query optimization

  .
• Expertise in:

• Views

  (materialized, complex, inline)

• Partitioning strategies

  and maintenance

• Global Temporary Tables

• SQL tuning

  (scans, hints, explain plans, statistics, indexes)

• PL/SQL tuning

• Application tuning

  using AWR reports

• Collections

  ,

  bulk operations

  , and

  autonomous transactions

• Familiarity with

  ETL concepts

  , tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, ODI), and data storage systems.
• Exposure to

  Java

  and its integration with Oracle databases.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP Oracle Certified Professional).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
