Java L2 Support

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Java L2 Support Engineer to join our support team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a production environment. You will work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure uptime, performance, and stability of Java-based applications. Key Responsibilities: Provide Level 2 support for Java-based enterprise applications. Investigate and resolve application issues reported by L1 support or end-users. Analyze logs, debug Java code, and provide timely issue resolution or workarounds. Monitor application performance and ensure system availability. Collaborate with development teams to escalate and fix bugs when necessary. Perform root cause analysis and contribute to permanent fixes. Document known issues, solutions, and support procedures. Provide on-call support as needed and participate in shift rotations. Assist with release deployments and application rollbacks. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Java application support or development. Strong knowledge of Core Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring Framework, etc. Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). Familiarity with application servers (e.g., Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss). Proficiency in analyzing logs using tools like Splunk, Kibana, or direct log files. Experience in debugging and troubleshooting production issues. Strong understanding of Unix/Linux and shell scripting. Good communication and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, New Relic). Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker. Exposure to incident and change management processes (e.g., ITIL framework). Should have a strong understanding of SQL and be capable of working on complex queries and procedures.
