Java Engineer

Job Summary

The Engineer I is a proactive and detail-oriented software professional contributing to full-stack development throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role focuses on writing clean, efficient code aligned with technical designs, implementing well-structured software components, and executing comprehensive unit testing to ensure quality and reliability. By actively participating in Agile ceremonies and team collaboration, the Engineer I supports seamless integration across frontend, backend, and UI/UX elements to drive optimal performance and user experience.

Building on foundational engineering expertise, this role encourages continuous learning, innovation, and problem-solving while contributing to successful project outcomes. The Engineer I also supports system enhancements with a strong focus on identifying potential challenges early and continuously improving development processes through modern DevOps practices and cloud technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, including Frontend, Backend, and UI/UX engineering within the SDLC

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering across full-stack domains

• Develop and enhance software solutions by implementing technical designs, writing clean and maintainable code, and progressively translating business requirements into functional components with increasing independence. Provide technical assistance, including on-call support and timely resolution of moderate-complexity incidents, while adhering to project timelines. (15%)

• Perform comprehensive unit testing to validate functionality and proactively identify and resolve defects. Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and continuously strengthen best practices. Contribute to process improvements that enhance application quality, testing efficiency, and development workflows. (15%)

• Play an active role in full-stack development initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions. Ensure seamless integration and optimized performance throughout all stages of the SDLC. (15%)

• Build responsive user interfaces and resilient backend services using modern frameworks and technologies. Follow best engineering practices across coding, testing, and deployment. Take ownership of complex troubleshooting tasks and lead effective issue resolution to maintain application stability. (15%)

• Enhance user experience through thoughtful UI/UX improvements, working closely with design and engineering partners. Incorporate user insights and analytics to deliver intuitive, high-quality interfaces that elevate overall usability and satisfaction. (15%)

• Engage as a collaborative member of an Agile team, promoting communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Seek and apply feedback from peers and mentors while strengthening both technical capabilities and understanding of business needs. (15%)

• Develop proficiency in core programming languages and contribute to foundational components of financial applications. Expand technical expertise through hands-on learning, training, and active participation in technology growth initiatives. (10%)
