Role & responsibilities

Strategic Leaderships Planning:

• Develop and execute a global IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals, with a focus on supporting manufacturing excellence (Industry 4.0) and supply chain integration.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies, including cloud migration (IaaS, PaaS), hybrid infrastructure, and software-defined solutions.
• Own the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement, resource allocation, and lifecycle management.
• Provide expert guidance to senior management on infrastructure investments, risks, and opportunities.

Operational Management:

• Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of all global IT infrastructure components: data centres, network (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), servers, storage, and telephony.
• Oversee the 24/7 operational support for infrastructure, implementing robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to minimize downtime, especially for plant operations.
• Manage relationships with key technology vendors, service providers, and partners to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
• Direct the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including regular testing.

Cybersecurity s Compliance:

• Partner with the CISO to architect, implement, and maintain a secure infrastructure environment, protecting against internal and external threats.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, SOX, data privacy laws).
• Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures for infrastructure access, usage, and management.

Team Leadership s Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of infrastructure engineers, architects, and support staff.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the team and across IT departments.
• Manage resource planning, skills development, and performance management for the infrastructure team.

Manufacturings OT Integration:

• Collaborate closely with Plant Operations and Engineering teams to understand and support the unique IT needs of a manufacturing environment.
• Drive projects that bridge IT and OT (Operational Technology), ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for shop floor systems (SCADA, MES, PLCs).
• Support automation and IoT initiatives within the production facilities.

Skills:

• Enterprise networking (Cisco, Aruba), data centre management (virtualization, hyper-convergence), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and storage solutions.
• Strong Knowledge of Cybersecurity frameworks, disaster recovery methodologies, and IT service management (ITIL).
• Proven Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure transformation projects, including cloud migration and network modernization.

Understanding of the specific challenges of supporting a global, multi-site organization with critical 24/7 operational requirements.
