About the Role:

API Tinkerer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, document, and maintain APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, etc.) that are secure, scalable, and easy to consume.
Integrate internal systems and third-party services via APIs and SDKs.
Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Optimize APIs for performance, versioning, and backward compatibility.
Implement authentication and authorization standards (OAuth2, JWT, API keys, etc.).
Maintain up-to-date API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger/Postman collections).
Contribute to API gateway setup, request throttling, and monitoring strategies.
Assist in debugging and resolving API-related issues across environments.
Advocate for API-first design and contribute to internal API standards and governance.
Work with DevOps to automate deployment and testing of services and endpoints.
Stay current with emerging API technologies, protocols, and design best practices.
