Job Overview:

Construction Head

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct project teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring timeliness, quality of construction, and overall profitability.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, execution plans, and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks with proactive planning and timely resolutions.
  • Oversee project budgeting, cost control, resource planning, and ensure financial efficiency.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, vendors, and authorities.
  • Provide timely project updates to senior management, highlighting key milestones, issues, and progress.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the construction process and project teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Mentor and coach team members, cultivating a high-performance culture.
  • Conduct weekly review meetings with contractors/consultants on work progress, schedules, design, and quality issues.
  • Resolve project bottlenecks and escalate critical issues where necessary.
  • Coordinate with Contracts team for timely sign-off on LOIs, agreements, and work orders.
  • Oversee entire project lifecyclefrom design stage through execution to final handover.
  • Monitor progress with respect to drawings, schedules, and budgets.
  • Regularly inspect work quality, reviewing reports from PMC consultants and Project Managers.
  • To keep surprise visit on sites to check and monitor for the progress of work / project.

  • Familiarity with project management software/tools

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Proven track record in successfully delivering large-scale real estate projects
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage multidisciplinary project teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in real estate/construction project management
  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or ME in Structure / Construction management or PGDM in Project Management / Construction Management from RICS /NICMAR.
