Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Coding and Documentation:

Review and analyze nephrology-related medical records to identify and code diagnoses using HCC codes.
Apply HCC codes accurately for chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and other nephrology-related conditions.
Utilize coding manuals, guidelines, and software tools specific to nephrology to assign appropriate HCC codes.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct audits and reviews of nephrology-related coding to ensure accuracy and compliance with CMS and other regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with nephrologists and other healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
Provide feedback and training on nephrology coding practices and documentation requirements.

Risk Adjustment:

Contribute to risk adjustment processes by ensuring accurate coding of nephrology-related chronic conditions and risk factors.
Analyze coding patterns within nephrology to identify areas for improvement in risk adjustment strategies.
Stay updated on changes in HCC coding guidelines, particularly those impacting nephrology.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, with a focus on nephrology and HCC coding

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
