Role Overview

We’re looking for a senior hardware tester with deep experience in validating and stress-testing embedded IoT hardware at scale. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ESP32, EC200U, LoRa, Bluetooth, E-metering, and battery management systems, and has overseen testing cycles for products scaled beyond 100,000+ units.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for hardware systems based on ESP32, EC200U, LoRa, and Bluetooth.
• Validate performance, stability, power consumption, and durability of battery-powered and E-metering hardware systems.
• Simulate edge cases, environmental stress, and long-duration tests to ensure real-world reliability.
• Develop automated testing setups, test jigs, and custom tools to support high-volume production testing.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and production teams to diagnose and debug failures.
• Perform pre-certification testing and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide feedback on hardware design from a testability and reliability standpoint.
• Monitor performance of devices from field data and suggest continuous improvements.
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in hardware testing for IoT products.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, particularly with ESP32, EC200U, LoRa, and Bluetooth modules.
• Experience in testing E-metering circuits, battery-operated systems, and low-power devices.
• Demonstrated involvement in mass production of hardware (100,000+ units).
• Proficiency in using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, battery simulators, etc.
• Hands-on debugging and root cause analysis experience.

Good to Have

• Experience with production testing setups, ATE, and test jigs.
• Familiarity with QA documentation, failure reporting, and traceability systems.
• Knowledge of compliance testing (e.g., CE, RoHS, EMI/EMC).
• Exposure to Python or automation frameworks for hardware testing.
