Hardware Networking Engineer - Work on site Pan India

Key Responsibilities:

Client Site Work, Internal Support & IT Projects

• Design, implement, and support network solutions tailored to client and internal infrastructure needs.
  Participate in IT infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration of network components.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for network-related issues across client environments.
  

Network Design, Implementation & Maintenance

• Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions based on business requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Conduct regular maintenance and perform system upgrades, including security patches and firmware updates.
  

Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor network performance and availability using appropriate tools and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Maintain high network uptime and service reliability in line with SLAs.
  

Security & Compliance

• Manage and configure network security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control systems.
• Ensure adherence to organizational and industry-standard security policies and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement security enhancements as needed.
  

Documentation & Collaboration

• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date network documentation, including configurations and topology diagrams.
• Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure initiatives and ensure alignment with broader IT goals.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal staff on network tools and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network platforms.
• Proficient in network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPN, DHCP, DNS).
• Solid understanding of network security and firewall management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
