Hardware & Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, your main objective is to construct and maintain a robust and effective network infrastructure. You will collaborate with fellow IT professionals to evaluate the organization's requirements and implement solutions that ensure a secure and reliable network. Your responsibilities will involve troubleshooting network issues, upgrading hardware and software, and staying informed about industry developments to propose necessary changes. - Designing and implementing network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and other network topologies. - Selecting appropriate hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs. - Monitoring network performance to ensure optimal efficiency. - Performing routine maintenance and upgrades to prevent downtime and security risks. - Promptly diagnosing and resolving network faults. - Providing technical support to end-users and working with other IT teams for issue resolution. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation on network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. - Collaborating with system administrators and security specialists to uphold a unified IT environment. To qualify for this role, you should possess: - A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. - At least 2 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies. - Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as software. - Relevant certifications like Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and user support.
