Full Stack Web Developer

About Us

Swift Surgical is a leading supplier of high-quality surgical products, serving hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals across the UK. We are expanding our digital presence and are seeking a skilled Web Developer to work alongside our Project Manager on the end-to-end development of the Swift Surgical website and other related development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise the Swift Surgical eCommerce website (Magento/WordPress/Shopify or other relevant platforms).
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager based in Kerala for requirement gathering, planning, and sprint reviews.
• Implement responsive, SEO-friendly, and user-friendly website designs.
• Ensure site security, performance, and scalability.
• Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and payment gateways.
• Develop new modules and features as required by the business.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Work on additional development projects (eCommerce, portals, custom applications) as assigned.
• Provide technical documentation and handover when needed.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following:
• Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js.
• Backend: PHP (Laravel), Node.js, Python (Django/Flask).
• eCommerce Platforms: Magento 2, WordPress (WooCommerce), Shopify (preferred).
• Proficiency in MySQL/MongoDB database management.
• Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Strong knowledge of website security, GDPR compliance, and performance optimisation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with server/hosting management (cPanel, WHM, Cloudflare, etc.).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior experience in healthcare or eCommerce sector.
