Position: Finance Manager (Pharmaceutical Costing)

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Reporting

• Oversee end-to-end financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare timely financial statements, management reports, and cost analysis reports for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

Costing & Pharmaceutical Finance

• Develop and manage product costing models specifically for APIs, formulations, and manufacturing operations.
• Monitor and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), pricing strategies, and profitability by product line.
• Provide detailed cost-benefit analysis for procurement, imports, and local production.
• Support management in pricing decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance and competitive positioning.

Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to optimize cost structures.
• Provide financial insights for business development initiatives (e.g., partnerships, joint ventures, plant setup).
• Evaluate investment opportunities, CAPEX projects, and ROI for new pharmaceutical facilities.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure adherence to financial controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and government authorities on finance and tax matters.
• Implement internal financial control systems to reduce risks and ensure transparency.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a small team of accountants/finance executives.
• Build a culture of financial discipline, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Technical Knowledge

Costing methodologies (Standard, Activity-Based), COGS analysis, CAPEX/OPEX budgeting

Regulatory Knowledge

Familiarity with Indonesian taxation, pharma financial compliance, and import/export finance

Skills

Strong analytical ability, ERP/finance systems knowledge, advanced Excel/financial modeling

Soft Skills

Leadership, cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making

Education

Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualification preferred

Language

Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency is an advantage
