Engineer, ASIC Design

You will be joining Kinara, a Bay Area-based venture backed company focused on edge AI technology, aiming to revolutionize machine learning and artificial intelligence. As a VLSI Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art AI processors and high-speed interconnects, optimizing performance, power efficiency, and scalability for modern AI applications. - Define micro-architecture and write detailed design specifications. - Develop RTL code using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog based on system-level specifications. - Implement complex digital functions and algorithms in RTL. - Create and execute detailed test plans to verify RTL designs. - Optimize designs for power, performance, and area constraints. - Perform simulation and debugging to ensure design correctness. - Collaborate with verification engineers to validate RTL against specifications. - Possess a strong understanding of digital design principles and concepts. - Demonstrate proficiency in writing and debugging RTL code. - Utilize experience with synthesis, static timing analysis, and linting tools. - Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL for automation. - Experience in processor subsystem design, interconnect design, or high-speed IO interface design. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in RTL design and verification. - Proven expertise in digital logic design using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog. - Hands-on experience with simulation tools like VCS, QuestaSim, or similar. - Proficiency with RTL design tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Genus.,
