DevOps Lead

As an experienced DevOps Lead, you will be an integral part of our technology team, spearheading the design, implementation, and optimization of our DevOps processes and infrastructure. Your role will involve leading a team of engineers to ensure seamless CI/CD workflows, scalable cloud environments, and high availability for all deployed applications. This hands-on leadership position demands a robust technical background and a collaborative approach towards achieving our goals. Your responsibilities will include leading the DevOps team and establishing best practices for CI/CD pipelines, release management, and infrastructure automation. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Additionally, you will oversee the optimization of cloud services for cost, performance, and security, while also managing monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure a robust operational environment. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in implementing and enforcing security, compliance, and governance policies within our cloud environments. Collaboration with development, QA, and product teams will be essential to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery. In times of need, you will lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues, and continuously evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance system efficiency and reliability. For this role, we require candidates to hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, including at least 2 years in a lead or managerial capacity. Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management, and strong scripting skills in languages like Python and Bash are essential. A deep understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as experience with version control, artifact repositories, and deployment strategies, are also required. Preferred qualifications include certifications like Azure Certified DevOps Engineer, exposure to regulated environments such as HIPAA or PCI, familiarity with observability platforms and chaos engineering practices, and a background in agile/scrum methodologies.
