Job Description

As a chemicals supplier to almost all industries, BASF has established a standalone subsidiary dedicated to its Mobile Emissions Catalysts, Precious Metals Trading, Recycling, and related Products and Services business under BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions. This new group, wholly owned by BASF, operates globally in over 15 countries with approximately 20 production sites and over 4,000 employees. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for executing the sales process and implementing the sales specific strategy of the Mobile Emission Catalyst business unit. Your primary goal will be to develop lasting customer relationships, identify business trends, and enable cross-business collaboration to maximize BASF's value. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts to enhance brand value - Implement and monitor sales strategies and key account management, including pricing strategies - Identify and attract new customers, pursue new applications, and collaborate with product developers - Implement value engineering measures to improve profitability and enhance value sharing with key OEMs - Ensure financial performance meets agreed targets for gross margin costs - Provide accurate sales forecasts to support efficient planning of raw materials and products - Negotiate and close deals with customers, providing operational guidance to relevant departments for smooth implementation **Qualifications Required:** - MBA preferred or bachelor's degree in engineering with MBA desired - Minimum 6 years of sales experience in B2B, preferably in the Auto/Auto ancillary Industry This role requires strong leadership skills as you will work closely with regional and global teams to drive cross-collaboration. You will influence decision-makers at all levels within and outside BASF, without direct disciplinary responsibility. Additionally, you will act as the main interface between India operational teams and regional marketing segments, coordinating prioritization of profitability improvement actions.,
