Role: Database Administration

Required Technical Skill Set: DB2 Database Administrations

Desired Experience Range: 7-10 Years

Location of Requirement

Noida / Vaishali

B.E. / B. Tech / M. Tech / MSc / MCA

Good to Have

Certifications Any certification in Database Administrations
• Experience in implementing enterprise-wide
•DB2 LUW Version 10.1/10.5/11.1/11.
• Strong knowledge of relational & non rational database, Database Administration, Data Integrations, Oracle Database, Basic Linux commands

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role**

1 Install, setup, upgrade, DB2 LUW 10.1/10.5/11.1/11.5 on AIX, Linux and windows-based DB servers.

2 Day-to-day Database Administration, Performance monitoring and Patching of Production Database servers.

3 Apply Fix Packs / special builds to comply with any APAR etc

4 Supporting DB2 pure Scale cluster, HADR & HACMP

5 Working with data movement utilities IMPORT, LOAD, EXPORT and db2pd, db2top as required.

6 Planning Backup, replication to DR sites and Restore Strategies for all database servers

7 Database Migration from Oracle to DB2 efficiently without any loss

8 Collaboration with OS teams such as Linux,/OpenShift, Windows, Backup, Application development team.

9 Working with db2advis & db2expln utilities for query performance improvement

10 Resolution of incidents, problem & Change Management

11 Creation and submission of various reports regular & on demand by the business partners and management
