Database Developer

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases running on AWS (RDS / EC2 / Aurora).
• Optimize database performance, write and tune complex SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Ensure database availability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Manage data migrations, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with backend developers, DevOps, and product teams to align database design with application needs.
• Monitor database health and usage trends; proactively address performance bottlenecks.
• Automate database maintenance tasks where possible (e.g., backups, patching, scaling).
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with

  PostgreSQL

  , especially in high-availability environments.
• Experience managing

  PostgreSQL on AWS

  (RDS, Aurora, or EC2).
• Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of

  database design, normalization, indexing

  , and

  transaction management

• Familiarity with

  cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools

  (CloudWatch, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, etc.).
• Experience with

  data backup, restore, replication
