About the Role

Database Developer Lead (DB2 UDB)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and 

  optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts

   for DB2 UDB databases.
• Design and implement 

  data migration strategies

   from DB2 z/OS to DB2 UDB.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to 

  gather requirements

   and translate them into technical specifications and functional designs.

• Lead database development projects

   from planning to deployment, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Provide 

  mentorship and technical guidance

   to junior developers.
• Identify and implement 

  process improvements and automation

   within database operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree

   in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 69 years of experience

   in database development, with a strong focus on 

  DB2 UDB

  .
• Proven expertise in 

  writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and data retrieval scripts

  .
• Experience in 

  data migration

   from DB2 z/OS to DB2 UDB.
• Experience in the 

  financial services or banking industry

   is highly desirable.
• Strong 

  leadership and mentoring skills

   with experience leading database projects.
• Excellent 

  problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

  .
