Database Administrator

You are a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's databases. Your primary tasks include ensuring database performance, integrity, and security, as well as planning the database architecture and troubleshooting issues. Your key responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Additionally, you will monitor database performance, implement changes to enhance efficiency, ensure data integrity, security, and availability, conduct regular backups and recovery operations, manage user access and permissions, and develop documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards. Collaboration with developers and IT staff to support application development and deployment, troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues, implementing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, and staying updated with emerging database technologies and best practices are also crucial aspects of your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with proven experience as a DBA or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, experience with database management tools and utilities, proficiency in SQL and database scripting, familiarity with data backup, recovery, security, and integrity, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential.
