Database Administrator - Performance Tuning

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and fine-tuning databases for high performance and scalability. Your expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, high availability & disaster recovery, data migration, and log shipping will be crucial for this role. Additionally, you will need hands-on experience in database development. Key Responsibilities: - Fine-tune and optimize queries to enhance performance and efficiency. - Perform indexing, partitioning, and query execution analysis to boost database performance. - Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, log shipping, replication, and failover clustering. - Conduct database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime. - Implement backup, restore, and recovery strategies to prevent data loss. - Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, locks, deadlocks, and slow queries. - Collaborate with developers to enhance database schema design and best practices. - Automate database maintenance tasks using SQL scripts and automation tools. - Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with industry standards. - Stay updated with the latest database technologies, tools, and trends. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience as a DBA with SQL development expertise. - Strong knowledge of query optimization, performance tuning, and indexing strategies. - Hands-on experience with HADR, log shipping, replication, and disaster recovery planning. - Experience in data migration, backup, and restoration across environments. - Proficiency in MSSQL database engines. - Strong understanding of stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions. - Experience with ETL processes and data integration. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, DMVs. - Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions like AWS RDS and Azure SQL. - Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams to optimize database queries.,
