Job Description

JD-Database Administrator (DBA)

Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts.
Installation, configuration, and administration of PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
Proficiency in T-SQL (DML, DDL, DCL) and CRUD operations.
Create and manage database users, roles, and privileges.
Experience in database backup and restore strategies.
Expertise in indexing, views, stored procedures, and functions.
Implement and manage audit logs and database security.

Performance & Maintenance

Perform query optimization and database performance tuning.
Schedule and manage cron jobs for automation.
Monitor resource utilization and query execution plans.

High Availability & Scalability

Configure and maintain replication, clustering, and other high-availability solutions.
Plan and execute disaster recovery and failover strategies.

Scripting & OS Knowledge

Hands-on experience with Linux.
Good knowledge of Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.

Additional Skills

Working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or ScyllaDB.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is an added advantage.
