Data Security Analyst

As a Data Security Analyst, your primary responsibility is to protect the organization's computer networks and data from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. You will monitor systems, analyze security data, and implement strategies to enhance data security and prevent breaches. This involves conducting security audits, assessing risks, and recommending improvements to existing security measures. - Continuously monitor network activity and system logs for suspicious behavior or potential security breaches. - Analyze security data from various sources to identify threats and vulnerabilities. - Investigate security incidents and breaches to determine root causes and develop preventative measures. - Implement and maintain security software like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption programs. - Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure consistent security practices. - Recommend and implement security enhancements to improve the organization's overall security posture. - Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments of computer systems and networks. - Identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to mitigate potential risks. - Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and security posture. - Document security policies, procedures, and best practices. - Train employees on security best practices and the proper use of security tools. - Educate users on how to recognize and avoid potential security threats. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Proven experience in data security analysis or related field. - Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies. - Knowledge of security software and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption programs. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
