Data Modeller

As a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeler, you will be joining the Enterprise Data Modelling team where you will be responsible for creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Your role will involve ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards while working closely with business and functional teams. Your contribution as a Data Modeler will be essential in standardizing data models at portfolio and domain levels, thus driving efficiencies and maximizing the value of client's data assets. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience within an Enterprise Data Modeling team, and ideal domain experience in Insurance or Investment Banking. Your key responsibilities will include developing comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models for multiple domains within the organization by leveraging industry best practices and standards. Collaborating with business and functional teams to understand their data requirements and translating them into effective data models that support their strategic objectives will be crucial. Serving as a subject matter expert in data modeling tools such as ERwin Data Modeler, you will provide guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders. You will also establish and maintain standardized data models across portfolios and domains, ensuring consistency, governance, and alignment with organizational objectives. Identifying opportunities to optimize existing data models and enhance data utilization, particularly in critical areas such as fraud, banking, and AML, will be part of your role. Providing consulting services to internal groups on data modeling tool usage, administration, and issue resolution will promote seamless data flow and application connections. Developing and delivering training content and support materials for data models, ensuring that stakeholders have the necessary resources to understand and utilize them effectively, will also be a responsibility. Collaborating with the enterprise data modeling group to develop and implement a robust governance framework and metrics for model standardization, with a focus on long-term automated monitoring solutions, will be essential. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience working as a Data Modeler or in a similar role, preferably within a large enterprise environment. - Expertise in data modeling concepts and methodologies, with demonstrated proficiency in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models. - Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, as well as proficiency in database environments such as Snowflake and Netezza. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data requirements and translate them into effective data models. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
