Job Description

CPC Certified Medical Coder

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze clinical documentation for accurate medical coding.
Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes specific to Plastic Surgery & Dermatology.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer-specific policies.
Work with physicians and clinical teams to resolve coding queries.
Conduct internal audits to ensure coding accuracy and minimize denials.
Support billing and revenue cycle teams with coding-related clarifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

CPC certification (AAPC)
is mandatory.
2 - 5 years of coding experience in
Plastic Surgery
and
Dermatology
.
Strong understanding of NCCI edits, modifiers, and coding best practices.
Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and coding software.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

Experience with U.S. healthcare RCM workflows.
Knowledge of insurance payer guidelines for surgical and dermatology services.
Ability to interpret operative notes and reports.
