Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a forward-thinking Cloud Emerging Technologies Specialist to explore, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge cloud solutions and services. This role involves researching new cloud technologies, designing pilot projects, and collaborating with teams to integrate innovative cloud tools that drive business agility, scalability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., serverless computing, AI/ML cloud services, container orchestration, edge computing).
  
• Design and prototype solutions leveraging new cloud services to improve infrastructure and application capabilities.
  
• Collaborate with cloud architects, developers, and operations teams to integrate emerging technologies into existing cloud environments.
  
• Develop proof-of-concept projects and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  
• Monitor industry trends, vendor roadmaps, and participate in cloud community forums and events.
  
• Support migration strategies by introducing innovative cloud architectures and automation tools.
  
• Document and share knowledge on emerging cloud tools, best practices, and lessons learned.
  
• Assist in creating governance frameworks and security standards for new cloud technologies.
  
• Provide technical support and training to teams adopting new cloud services.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  
• 3+ years of experience in cloud computing, with hands-on experience on major platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  
• Familiarity with emerging cloud services such as serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), container orchestration (Kubernetes), AI/ML cloud APIs, and edge computing.
  
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation tools.
  
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  
• Analytical mindset with ability to evaluate technical options and recommend solutions.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
  

Preferred:

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Knowledge of networking, microservices, and distributed systems.
  
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
