Automation Test Engineer

Experience : 8+ years

Location : SIPCOT IT Park, Siruseri, Chennai.

Shift : Night shift (6.30 PM to 3.30 AM)

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, and integration testing.
• Understanding the functional requirements from business
• Thorough understanding of business, the infrastructure, system architecture, design, internal and external interfaces and use cases
• Strong hands on in test automation tool Selenium with cucumber
• Strong experience in Framework creation
• Log project related issues in the defect tracking tool identified for the project.
• Experience in designing of frameworks, methodologies
• Experience with Agile Methodology
• Experience on Jira and Confluence
• Designing, developing and executing automation test scripts
• Effective Test Data and Test Metrics Preparation
• Analyzing the test results and preparing the test report
• Team Handling Capabilities, Provide Trainings to the Team on related skill
• Ensure Team Members understand the Requirements and translate them to Test Cases / Test Execution

Required Skills:

• Experience of 8+ years in automation of cloud-based multi-tier architecture applications.
• Strong Knowledge on designing and implementing automation framework using selenium with cucumber.
• Strong Knowledge in Performance and load testing
• Strong programming/scripting skills in

  Java, Python, JavaScript

• Good Knowledge of CI/CD using Jenkins, GIT and BITBUCKET
• Good Knowledge of TestNG, TDD Framework, IntelliJ
• Experience in System Testing, API with Postman and have ability to make test plans

Good understanding of SQL, GIT, CI Pipeline,

• In-depth knowledge of JIRA and Agile
• Strong knowledge on Database - SQL/MySQL
• Good Analytical Skills & problem-solving skills
• Ability to define a robust mechanism to combine results of manual and automation test results, and prepare consolidated reports that give a single view of the application testing status
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Any engineering/Masters degree with relevant experience

Preferred Skills

ISTQB certification would be a PLUS
