Architect - Compute & Cloud

JOB PURPOSE :

Reporting to the Compute & Cloud Design Manager (Design Authority), you will help to build the Alstom Transport strategy, the design of compute & cloud services especially public cloud services, the integration of business solution in Alstom Infrastructure landscapeas well asparticipate in any merger /acquisition activities the organization participates in.

YOUR JOB:

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Strategy:
  • Collecting the business demands from IS&T Business Partners
  • Evaluate new technology solutions, for an integration to the roadmap, in collaboration with Business Partners, Projects, Operations and other Design Authority members. The scope includes all Hosting services (housing, server, storage, backup, systems, middleware, tooling) especially public cloud services
  • Initiate projects as identified in strategic roadmaps
  • Define the service catalog
  • Define and follow technological standards roadmap
  • Participate actively to the IS&T innovations initiatives
  • Contribute to and validate project scoping, general design and b-case. Ensure b-case follow-up (value realization). Ensure handover to projects teams. Involve in gates validation
  • Help the service architects to manage the changes, evaluate the impacts and treat them.

MAIN CHALLENGES OF THE ROLE :

• Design promote and help to adopt public cloud services (IAAS, PAAS etc.)
• Provide technical assistance on business solutions within Alstom IT environment
• Contribute to the consolidation of the role of infrastructure cloud architect and gain credibility in front of the businesses and within the IS&T organization.
• Be a key actor and collaborate with the whole compute & cloud team located worldwide

PROFILE:

To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:

• Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology, you have more than 5 years of experience in IS&T architecture , especially on hosting and cloud services. You have very good technical skills on different topics and are curious.
• A keen knowledge on top public cloud providers is demanded
• Deep Knowledge in SAP Infrastructure Design
• Certification as Azure solution architect(AZ305 ) ismandatory
• Scripting : PowerShell - Shell, Bash - Ansible - Terraform
• OS: Windows Desktop, RHEL, Ubuntu
• Devops Tools: Gitlab CI, Azure Devops Pipelines, Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Git, REST API
• You demonstrate good communication, efficiency and ability to execute. You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
• Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom
