Description
The Head of Collections Analytics and Insights is responsible at a global level for analysis and insight with relation to collection performance and strategy and provides actionable insights to improve debt recovery and minimize losses. You will report into the Global Head of Collections. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into practical solutions for optimizing collections processes and customer treatment strategies. You will be responsible for establishing performance metrics and monitoring systems for the team and individual performance. You will define and establish innovative collection KPIs and dashboards to drive efficiency and effectiveness usage including new digital collection methods and channels. Your role will involve driving the standardisation of Collection report suite including innovative techniques and format to provide insightful management decisions. You will leverage new and innovative management information systems for delivery to management and stakeholders. As the Head of Collections Analytics and Insights, you will serve as the single point of contact for the Global Collection Head and Cluster Heads to receive insights and analysis. You will explore Analytics as a tool to produce high-quality management information (relevant and accurate) for the use of the function. Your responsibilities will also include standardising and automating processes to ensure efficiency, supporting and educating business stakeholders to understand collection key performance indicators, and creating capabilities to do predictive analysis to leverage data and through new technologies. You will lead process mapping, documentation, and standardization to support seamless migration. Your role will involve identifying process gaps or localization requirements to ensure smooth vendor adoption, coordinating readiness activities, parallel runs, and cutovers to minimize disruption, and supporting the development of robust knowledge transfer plans and training materials. In terms of people and talent management, you will foster strong collaboration across global, regional, and country teams to align objectives and manage change. You will coach, train, and support stakeholders to self-serve in an effort to understand collection efficiency and effectiveness and the relevant levers to pull in order to improve. Your role will also entail identifying and mitigating operational, reputational, and customer risks related to collection performance and reporting. You will ensure all management information meets regulatory requirements, and internal controls, and partner with Operational Risk, Compliance, and Audit to proactively address regulatory and risk concerns. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining migration project governance frameworks, ensuring clear accountability and decision rights, establishing robust reporting and escalation channels for senior management and steering committees, and monitoring migration progress against scope, timeline, budget, and risk mitigation plans. You will ensure all regulatory and internal approvals are secured before transition execution. As the Head of Collections Analytics and Insights, you will display exemplary conduct and live by the Groups Values and Code of Conduct. Key stakeholders for this role include the Global Head of Collections & Recovery, Country and Cluster Heads of Collections, Credit Risk Management team, Product Team, and Risk Operations. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will embed Here for good and Standard Chartered's brand and values in India, Malaysia, and WRB Collections & Recovery, and perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business, or Functional policies and procedures. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Risk Management, or related field. - Training: Certifications in AI/ML, Data engineering are a plus. - Languages: English Skills and Experience: - Understanding of business operations and the financial impact of collections performance. - Expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization. - Ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Ability to identify and solve complex problems related to collections performance. - Knowledge of collections processes and regulations: Familiarity with collections best practices and relevant regulations. - Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a complex environment. - Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
