Description
As a Data Scientist at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), you will have the opportunity to join the dynamic Innovation & Intelligence Team within the Data & Analytics Operations function. This team comprises data scientists, engineers, and analysts who collaborate to deliver impactful automation and AI solutions that enhance operational performance across the organization. Working in an agile and collaborative environment, you will partner closely with Engineering and D&A Operations teams to shape the technology roadmap and drive innovation. The mission of the team is to accelerate value delivery while building scalable, future-ready capabilities. In this role, you will design and implement automation solutions using AI/ML techniques to solve real-world business challenges. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will gather requirements and translate them into working prototypes and production-ready tools. Building and testing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) will be part of your responsibilities to validate new ideas and approaches. You will also be involved in developing and maintaining data pipelines, inference workflows, and other automation components. Continuous learning and application of emerging technologies to enhance solution effectiveness are key aspects of the role. Additionally, you will contribute to a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience in AI/ML solution development, preferably in a fast-paced or enterprise environment. Strong programming skills in Python and demonstrated ability to use SQL for complex data tasks are essential. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required. The ability to think analytically and solve complex problems with creativity and rigour is important, along with excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn new tools and techniques, and a commitment to inclusion and accessibility are also desired qualities.
