Wordpress Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Customize and develop WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.
• Modify existing themes using child themes and custom CSS, HTML, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Create and manage custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields (ACF).
• Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress websites.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.
• Build and maintain websites using Wix, Webflow, and Squarespace when required.
• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Troubleshoot website issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and project managers to translate design concepts into functioning websites.
• Stay up to date with the latest web development trends and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in WordPress theme and plugin customization.
• Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and the WordPress Codex.
• Hands-on experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Experience working with Wix, Webflow, and Squarespace – understanding their limitations and capabilities.
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first web design.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and website performance optimization.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
