Collaboration with frontend developers is essential to guarantee smooth integration between the backend and frontend components. **Roles & Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores with a focus on high performance, security, and scalability. - Customize and extend existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific client needs and project requirements. - Develop custom themes and plugins from scratch using best practices and coding standards in WordPress development. - Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress websites as needed for additional functionality or data exchange. - Optimize website performance by employing techniques such as caching and asset optimization to improve page load times and overall site speed. - Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality, reliability, and compatibility of developed solutions across various browsers and devices. - Implement and maintain web security best practices to protect WordPress websites. - Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal teams on WordPress related issues, troubleshooting problems, and offering solutions. - Stay updated on the latest WordPress and WooCommerce releases, features, and best practices to enhance the development process. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to deliver projects on time and within scope. **Requirements** - Proven experience of 2-4 years in developing WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. - Proficiency in PHP programming language and MySQL database management. - Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles. - Experience with WordPress theme development, including custom theme creation and modification. - In-depth knowledge of WordPress customization, including a strong understanding of hooks to extend and modify core functionality efficiently. - Knowledge of WordPress coding standards, best practices, and security principles. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Experience with version control systems such as Git and development workflows like GitFlow is a plus. **Qualification Required** - Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or related field.
