Windows Admin SME (Secure Managed File Transfer Engineer)

Location:

Windows Server SME / Secure Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide

  L3/SME-level support

  for Microsoft Windows Server and IIS.
• Design, implement, and maintain

  Enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT)

  solutions (MoveIt, Globalscape, or similar).
• Create and manage

  SFTP accounts, SSH/PGP keys, and secure file transfer workflows

  .
• Automate file transfers and server tasks using

  PowerShell

  (Python scripting is a plus).
• Troubleshoot and resolve

  file transfer failures, application issues, and Windows server incidents

  .
• Perform

  IIS configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting

  for application hosting and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver

  secure and scalable data transfer solutions

  .
• Monitor, support, and optimize DTS/MFT platforms, ensuring high availability and compliance with security standards.
  
• Participate in

  on-call support rotations

  for production systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of

  Windows Server administration (L3/SME level)

  .
• Strong hands-on expertise with

  PowerShell scripting

  (Python preferred as secondary).
• Proven experience with

  MFT tools

  (MoveIt, Globalscape, or similar).
• Deep knowledge of

  SFTP, FTP, HTTPS, MFT protocols

  , and encryption methods.
• Experience in

  IIS administration, configuration, upgrades, and security hardening

  .
• Solid understanding of

  SSH keys, PGP encryption

  , and automation of secure file transfers.
• Exposure to

  SQL, networking (Firewall/DNS/SSL/Load balancers), application security concepts

  .
• Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts for

  complex Windows and application performance issues

  .
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  
• ITIL knowledge/certification is a plus.
