About the Role

PTC Windchill Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and customize

  PTC Windchill PLM

  applications based on business requirements.
• Implement and maintain

  Workflows, Life Cycles, and Access Control Rules

  .
• Design and develop custom solutions using

  Java / JSP / Info*Engine / Windchill APIs

  .
• Integrate Windchill with CAD tools (Creo, NX, SolidWorks) and enterprise systems (SAP, ERP, etc.).
  
• Manage system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
  
• Develop and maintain reports using

  Windchill Query Builder (QML)

  or custom reporting tools.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with functional and business teams.
  
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  
• Document technical designs, configuration changes, and support procedures.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 410 years of experience in

  PTC Windchill Development

  and support.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  

• Windchill PDMLink / ProjectLink / MPMLink

• Info*Engine

  customization and integration

• Windchill APIs, Java, JSP, XML, J2EE, JavaScript

• Experience in

  Workflow & Lifecycle Configuration

  and

  Access Control Rules

  .
• Familiarity with

  Windchill Business Administration tools

  (Type and Attribute Manager, OIRs, etc.).
• Knowledge of

  CAD Data Management

  and integration with Creo or other CAD tools.
• Experience with

  Data Migration and Upgrade Projects

  .
• Good understanding of

  PLM concepts

  and engineering change management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

Good to Have

• Experience with

  Windchill REST Services (OSLC / ThingWorx Integration)

  .
• Exposure to

  Windchill customization using PTC Navigate

  .
• Familiarity with

  Oracle / SQL / Tomcat / Apache

  environments.
• Understanding of

  Agile / Scrum

  methodologies.
• PTC Certification in Windchill Development or Administration.
