Senior Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) Software Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and enhance

  custom WES solutions

  for real-time order orchestration, material flow, and automation workflows.
• Integrate software with

  PLCs, conveyor systems, robotics, and sensors

  for seamless warehouse automation.
• Implement iterative automation capabilities using

  event-driven, microservices architectures

  and

  cloud-native deployments

  .
• Design and execute

  unit, functional, and performance testing

  for systems interacting with physical automation equipment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including

  controls engineers, operations, and IT

  , to ensure smooth deployments.
• Configure and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines

  for continuous software delivery in production environments.
• Implement

  authorization, authentication, and security best practices

  for warehouse systems.
• Perform

  root cause analysis

  and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime and maximum system reliability.
• Collaborate with operations teams to support

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years in

  software development

  , with at least 3+ years in

  WES/WMS automation

  or

  fulfillment center technologies

  .
• Strong programming experience in

  Java

  with

  object-oriented design

  principles.
• Hands-on experience with

  PLC programming/integration

  (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and industrial automation systems.
• Proficiency in

  front-end development

  using

  HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript

  for operational dashboards.
• Experience with

  relational and NoSQL databases

  supporting real-time warehouse operations.
• Practical knowledge of

  cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

  and

  CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with

  security frameworks

  authentication/authorization protocols

  for industrial systems.
• Version control proficiency using

  and experience working in
