Develop and optimize CNC programs for Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce precision parts for aerospace applications
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Set up and operate VMC machines, ensuring precise machining operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to ensure efficient production processes
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and ensure work area safety
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
- Mentor junior programmers and operators
CNC Programming: Proficiency in G-code, M-code, and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, SolidWorks)
- Machining: Knowledge of machining principles, tool geometry, and cutting parameters
- Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Quality Control: Understanding of quality standards and inspection methods
- Certifications: CNC programming certifications (e.g., CNC Machining Certification) preferred.
