Job Description

VMC / CNC Programmer

Role & responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and edit CNC programs for
VMC (milling, drilling, tapping, contouring)
and CNC turning machines.
Generate toolpaths using
CAM software (Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, ESPRIT, etc.)
.
Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for machining.
Create setup sheets and assist operators in machine setup & first-part trial.
Ensure machining accuracy as per drawings &
GD&T
.
Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, breakage, dimensional errors).
Optimize cycle times while ensuring high-quality output.
Maintain program records, revisions, and backups.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet targets.

Key Skills:

CNC & VMC Programming (G-code, M-code).
Strong knowledge of CAM software (Mastercam / NX / SolidCAM / Fusion 360).
Tool selection, machining strategies, and process optimization.
Ability to read & interpret
engineering drawings & GD&T
.
Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM).
Familiarity with ISO / Quality standards (preferred).
