User Experience Specialist

As a User Experience (UX) Developer for our web-based accounting application, your role will involve defining and improving the overall User Experience to enhance speed of use and discoverability for our users. Your responsibilities will include: - Establishing clear UX patterns, components, and behaviors. - Documenting workflows and interaction models for typical use cases such as data entry, report generation, and navigation between modules. - Providing annotated wireframes or prototypes for design reference. You will collaborate with frontend developers to set up a design reference in Storybook, ensuring that it covers key UI components and includes examples of common states like default, loading, error, and success. It will be important to maintain alignment with accessibility and responsive design best practices. Your tasks will also involve auditing the existing interface to improve the User Experience. This includes: - Enhancing Speed of Use by minimizing clicks, reducing loading time, supporting keyboard shortcuts, and implementing autofill where appropriate. - Improving Discoverability by ensuring that key features are intuitively accessible and actions are clearly labeled. - (Secondary) Focusing on Aesthetics by applying a consistent visual language with modern UI styling that is unobtrusive yet visually appealing. You will be required to identify friction points and propose actionable changes, which will be prioritized into "quick wins" and "longer-term" improvements to the interface.
