TM1 Developer

ERGO Technology & Services Management the main outsourcing provider of IT for ERGO worldwide.

Role Description :

The Developer will be responsible for developing new system functionality, providing system maintenance & enhancements in PLA (former TM1) projects and maintenance to ensure that the initiatives and internal customers are provided full lifecycle support, from implementation through on-going support. This person will be responsible for coding, unit testing, bug-fixes a day-to-day basis, release-planning and management.

PLA is used in two different areas within ERGO: On the one hand for accounting and controlling and on the other hand in risk management for the reserving platform.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Technical responsibility for big or complex application systems in a respective domain
• Adhere to security and control, and change control processes
• Design, develop and maintain PLA system to meet support and/or project requirements.
• Interface with IT teams to ensure system stability and strategy of architecture
• Work with IT support teams to ensure support and project requirements are developed and successfully implemented
• Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
• Code versioning
• Responsible for an important part of the full System Development Life Cycle
• Participate in production support/ duty rotation including weekend and off-hour support coverage
• Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development

Key Competencies & Skills required

Technical

• Deep experience in TM1 and TI programming Experience with SQL databases and SQL as a reporting tool
• Deep experience with independent VBA programming of complete applications - where VBA serves as interface and TI programming or ODBC SQL for data manipulation
• Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
• Perform application support tasks like: systems support, security reviews, & maintenance tasks
• Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly

Nice to have:

• Finance industry background, preferred for insurance companies
• German

Education/Qualification:

A degree in Computer Science or equivalent or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience

Knowledge & Experience:

• 3 -5 years of development background in design, analysis and coding with the required technical Skills
• Good experience in TM1 data modeling related to accounting, controlling, actuarial regarding data structures of required flexibility and business terminology
• Experience of working within multi-location teams.
