Textile Designer - Home Textiles

You will be responsible for designing original textile patterns (prints, weaves, embroideries, jacquards, etc.) for home furnishings. Your role will involve creating seasonal collections that are in line with current trends, color forecasts, and consumer preferences. Collaboration with the product development team is essential to ensure that the designs can be effectively mass-produced. Your duties will also include staying updated on home decor trends, global design influences, and competitor products. This involves attending trade shows, design fairs, and conducting market analysis to gather inspiration and benchmark against industry standards. You will work closely with textile mills, printers, and suppliers to bring designs from concept to final product. This will require preparing detailed technical design sheets and specifications for production purposes. Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, NedGraphics, Procreate, or similar tools will be necessary to develop digital patterns and mock-ups, ensuring that repeat patterns, colorways, and textures are suitable for production. As part of your role, you will oversee prototype development, making necessary adjustments based on fabric tests and visual evaluations. You will be responsible for approving lab dips, strike-offs, and production samples to ensure color accuracy and design fidelity.
