Job Description

Testing Engineer / QC

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases (manual or automated)
Identify, log, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
Conduct regression, functional, integration, and system testing
Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve defects
Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Write and maintain test documentation and reports
Ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards
Work with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit) if applicable
Validate UI/UX consistency across devices and browsers
Support performance/load testing (e.g., JMeter) as needed

Technical Skills:

Testing Tools:

Manual Testing: TestRail, Zephyr, TestLink, etc.
Bug Tracking: JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis

API Testing:

Postman, Swagger, SoapUI
Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs

Performance Testing:

JMeter, LoadRunner (optional but valuable)

CI/CD Tools:

Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps

Version Control:

Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket

Database Skills:

Writing basic to advanced
SQL queries
Understanding of RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Scripting/Programming (for Automation roles):

Python, Java, JavaScript, or Bash scripting, Dot.Net with MVC
Ability to debug and maintain automation scripts

Automation Testing (if applicable):

Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python/JavaScript)
Cypress, Playwright, Appium (for mobile)
