Testing and Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Test Planning & Design

• Review application requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  
• Design and maintain

  comprehensive test cases

  and

  test data

  for full coverage.
• Participate in

  sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

  to align testing efforts.
• Maintain a

  traceability matrix

  linking test cases to business requirements.

2. Test Execution

• Perform

  manual testing

  of web and mobile applications.
• Execute

  functional, regression, integration, and UI testing

  to ensure stability and usability.
• Identify, document, and track bugs in

  Jira

  , ensuring clear reproducibility and severity classification.
• Re-test resolved issues and perform

  sanity checks

  before release.
• Support

  User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  to ensure production readiness.

3. Automation & Tools (where applicable)

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to create automated regression and smoke tests.
  
• Conduct

  API testing

  and backend validation for data accuracy.
• Integrate test automation within

  CI/CD pipelines

  for continuous testing.

4. Quality & Collaboration

• Coordinate QA activities and dependencies with the

  Scrum Master

  .
• Work with developers and product teams for early issue identification.
  
• Contribute to design discussions to improve usability and maintainability.
  
• Ensure compliance with

  SITE2GYMs QA processes and quality standards

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed test documentation and execution reports.
  
• Share

  QA status updates

  with the Scrum Master and stakeholders before sprint reviews.
• Contribute to

  release notes

  and ensure all known issues are logged and tracked.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Propose enhancements for QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  
• Stay updated on the latest testing trends and technologies.
  
• Support cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the culture of quality.

  Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of

  manual testing

  methodologies and best practices.
• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum

  environments.
• Proficiency with

  Jira

  or other defect management tools.
• Familiarity with

  API testing tools

  such as Postman or Swagger.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
