As a Data Testing and Quality Assurance Specialist for Azure based data solutions, your responsibilities will include developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts. You will validate ETL/ELT processes in Azure Data Factory, perform data reconciliation between source systems and target data stores like Azure Data Lake, and conduct end-to-end testing encompassing functional, regression, and integration testing. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining automated test scripts for data validation and regression testing. Collaboration with Data Engineers and Analysts to identify and resolve data quality issues will be a crucial part of your role. You will use SQL queries for in-depth data validation and test the performance, scalability, and reliability of Azure data pipelines. Tracking defects to closure using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps, documenting test results, defects, and root cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with data governance, security standards, and industry best practices are also key responsibilities. Moreover, you will lead and mentor junior QA team members, support them in test planning and execution, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes. To excel in this role, you should possess 2 to 6 years of experience in Data testing and quality assurance, a strong grasp of SQL for data querying and validation, and familiarity with ETL testing and Data Pipeline validation. Exposure to the Azure cloud platform, proficiency in defect tracking tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps, and experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git are essential. Good communication skills, the ability to work in a cross-functional team, experience in Python for test automation, and testing APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools are also required. A solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, proficiency in manual testing, and knowledge of at least one test automation framework like Selenium or Cypress are essential for this role. Preferred qualifications include experience with migration project testing, hands-on experience with data visualization and reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau for test result analysis, experience in performance and security testing, and an ISTQB certification. Exposure to Azile/Scrum methodologies would be an added advantage.,
