Job Description

ERole & responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Holmium Technologies Pvt Ltd. The candidate will be responsible for providing remote and on-site technical support for our solar SCADA systems, remote monitoring solutions, PV-DG Sync solutions, and Zero Export solutions. The role involves troubleshooting, customer communication, coordinating with the field/service team, and ensuring smooth operation of deployed solutions across rooftop and ground-mounted solar power plants.

Provide technical support for installed SCADA and remote monitoring solutions at client solar sites.

Handle ticketing, incident management, and resolution for hardware/software/network-related issues.

Support installation, commissioning, and integration of PV-DG Sync and Zero Export solutions.

Work closely with the R&D and project teams to replicate, analyze, and resolve customer-reported issues.

Perform remote diagnostics via VPN, remote desktop, and cloud dashboards.

Conduct training sessions for clients, site engineers, and internal teams on system usage and troubleshooting.

Document common issues, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to build a robust knowledge base.

Ensure customer satisfaction by timely communication and effective problem resolution.

Support the sales and project teams with technical queries and pre-sales support when required.

Prepare reports on system performance, issue logs, and resolution timelines for internal tracking and client updates.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Diploma/Graduate in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related field.

Hands-on knowledge of Solar PV systems, SCADA/monitoring platforms, Modbus (RTU/TCP), RS485, Ethernet, and networking.

Familiarity with IoT devices, dataloggers, GSM/GPRS/4G connectivity, and cloud dashboards.

Strong problem-solving skills with ability to debug hardware, communication, and software issues.

Experience with PV-DG synchronization, Zero Export logics, or similar energy management solutions preferred.

Working knowledge of MS Excel, SQL basics, and data analysis tools is an added advantage.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for client interaction.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple support tickets simultaneously.

Prior exposure to solar SCADA systems, dataloggers, energy meters, and communication protocols.

Experience in client support, site coordination, or remote technical support.
