Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer at Yugabyte, you will be an integral part of the Customer Support organization, assisting customers in troubleshooting issues and maximizing the benefits of YugabyteDB. Your strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills will be crucial in providing timely and empathetic support to customers using YugabyteDB. You will collaborate with various teams within the company to ensure effective resolution of technical issues and contribute to enhancing self-service capabilities for customers. Additionally, you will continuously expand your knowledge of new technologies and actively participate in a global on-call rotation for after-hours support. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide timely, empathetic, and technically sound assistance to customers using YugabyteDB. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to distributed databases, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and application integrations. - Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Documentation teams to address customer needs effectively. - Maintain detailed case documentation and follow established support processes. - Contribute to knowledge base articles and support tools for customer self-service. - Continuously learn new technologies and expand understanding of Yugabyte's ecosystem. - Participate in a global on-call rotation for after-hours and Week-off support. **Qualifications Required:** - 3-5 years of industry experience in a technical role. - Strong technical foundation in databases, distributed systems, cloud platforms, Linux/Unix administration, or programming/scripting. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proactive, customer-first mindset with patience and persistence in issue resolution. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across global teams.
