Job Description

Area(s) of responsibility

Key Responsibilities

Develop, design, and execute comprehensive load, stress, and scalability tests comparing on-premises and AWS/Azure environments.
Work closely with cloud architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to set up test environments that mimic production conditions.
Use industry-standard performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) for scenario development and test execution.
Collect, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics (response time, throughput, resource utilization, latency, etc.) across different platforms.
Identify and document performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement in either or both environments.
Compile comparative analysis reports highlighting application behavior differences, resource cost/performance ratios, and scalability in on-prem vs. cloud.
Collaborate with application owners to understand workloads and expected user behaviors for realistic test planning.
Automate the performance testing process for repeatability and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Interpret results and present findings to technical teams and business stakeholders, translating data insights into actionable steps.
