Technical Artist

XSQUADS is seeking a Technical Artist with at least 4 years of experience in the gaming industry to join our team in Surat. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between art and technology, ensuring seamless integration of assets, optimizing game performance, and developing tools to enhance workflow efficiency. Your responsibilities will include acting as a liaison between the art and programming teams to facilitate smooth asset integration, developing tools, shaders, and scripts to improve visual quality and efficiency, and optimizing 3D models, textures, and materials for consistent performance on various devices. You will also be tasked with implementing shader programming, visual effects, and procedural generation techniques, as well as collaborating with other artists to ensure technical feasibility and troubleshoot any visual or performance-related issues. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry, with strong proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine for asset integration and optimization. Knowledge of shader creation using Shader Graph, HLSL, or Unreal's Material Editor, along with experience in scripting with Python, C#, or Blueprint, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with PBR workflows, lighting, rendering pipelines, and AI-powered tools for procedural generation and asset optimization is required. Preferred skills include experience in developing custom tools and plugins for art pipelines, proficiency in real-time VFX, procedural asset generation, and physics-based simulations, as well as knowledge of motion capture, animation blending, and rigging optimization.
