Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Architect to define the architecture and systems powering our games. You will lead engineering across backend, frontend, and live-ops platforms to deliver scalable, high-quality experiences. This role combines technical leadership, rapid prototyping, and mentoring to drive innovation across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Architecture Systems Design

  • Define and implement the technical architecture for core gameplay loops, multiplayer systems, and meta systems.
  • Ensure scalability and flexibility of the backend and client systems to support multiple game genres and Co-Dev outputs.

Live-Ops Tooling Frameworks

  • Architect and build standardised Live-Ops platforms (events, rewards, leaderboards, store, personalization tools).
  • Enable reusability of Live-Ops features across games to shorten development cycles.

Full Stack Development

  • Oversee both backend (server infrastructure, APIs, data pipelines) and frontend (game client integration, tooling dashboards).
  • Collaborate with designers and PMs to bring gameplay and systems design into technically robust implementations.

Technical Leadership

  • Act as the technical anchor of the studio, guiding engineers and working closely with Co-Dev partners.
  • Establish best practices for code quality, performance optimization, and security.
  • Mentor developers and build a culture of technical excellence within the studio.

Rapid Prototyping Iteration

  • Work with the creative and design team to prototype gameplay ideas quickly.
  • Build frameworks for fast testing, analytics, and iteration of game loops

Qualification

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering for mobile games (including backend + frontend expertise ).
  • Proven success in building and scaling game systems, multiplayer architectures, and live-ops frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of game engines (Unity/Unreal), cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and database design.
  • Strong experience with real-time multiplayer systems, matchmaking, and analytics integration.
  • Ability to design for rapid iteration, supporting multiple parallel game concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance creativity, performance, and scalability.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with designers, PMs, and external partners.
