As an Analyst specializing in MySQL Database Administration, you will be responsible for performing technical research, analysis, design, and architecting of IT Database systems. Your primary objective will be to ensure that the documented business and technical requirements are met and implemented to industry best practice standards. This includes driving short and long-term architecture strategy for IT Database systems, communicating and validating database architecture with technology services and development management teams, and leading technical design discussions with Development and project team members to ensure compliance with documented requirements. Your key responsibilities will involve installing, configuring, maintaining, and managing database systems, schema, tables, indexes, procedures, and permissions. You will also be tasked with creating backup/recovery of MySQL databases, ensuring successful SQL Transactional Replication, tracking performance metrics of maintained databases, identifying potential capacity/performance issues, and conducting regular performance tuning, indexing, and normalization of database systems. Additionally, you will develop and test SQL scripts for task automation and reporting, provide monitoring support for critical database servers and supporting services, and meet project deliverables for new or changes to existing technology within project requirements.
