Job Description

You are a Systems Platform Architect at Infrastructure Design Services, a team responsible for analyzing and designing infrastructure frameworks to meet the needs of applications, platforms, or systems in alignment with MasterCard's operational standards. You work closely with application teams and other critical stakeholders to ensure that the infrastructure and application architecture meet MasterCard's security, scalability, and availability standards. Your primary deliverable is the Technical Architecture Document (TAD) detailing the infrastructure design. Your role involves designing and delivering internet infrastructure solutions that meet member, product, service, and backbone requirements. You collaborate with various teams to generate high-level system requirements, ensuring consistency, completeness, correctness, and operational definition. You work with architects, engineers, and application teams to generate TADs, technical documents, and models to keep stakeholders informed and in agreement on evolving applications, systems, or platforms. As a Systems Platform Architect, you resolve internet architectural and operational issues affecting infrastructure and product availability globally. You research and evaluate new technologies for potential deployment in MasterCard's internet infrastructure. You may lead regional projects, ensuring planning, cost control, resource utilization, and implementation. Your responsibilities also include managing and supporting internet infrastructure components, performing problem diagnosis, tuning performance, and ensuring system stability and future compatibility. To excel in this role, you should possess in-depth knowledge of network, operating system principles, and web middleware. You must have expertise in internet infrastructure design, web administration, load balancers, web application firewalls, database technologies, cloud technologies, Zero Trust Architecture, and Network Micro-segmentation. Experience with YAML based deployments is essential. Your communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and organizational skills are crucial for working effectively in a diverse, geographically distributed team environment. Your success as a Systems Platform Architect hinges on your leadership, initiative, attention to detail, customer focus, multitasking abilities, quick learning of new technologies, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
