Systems Analyst 4-Support

Database Administration & Optimization:

Manage, monitor, and optimize production and development databases (Oracle, Exadata) to ensure high availability, scalability, and peak performance.

Automation & Scripting:

Design and implement automation solutions for database maintenance, monitoring, incident resolution, and reporting using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

Performance Tuning:

Analyse and optimize database performance through query tuning, index management, and fine-tuning of database configurations to enhance operational efficiency.

Backup, Recovery & DR Strategy:

Develop, test, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Incident & Problem Management:

Lead root cause analysis for complex database issues in 24x7 high-traffic environments and implement proactive measures to prevent recurrence.

Capacity Planning & Scalability:

Perform database capacity planning, storage optimization, and resource utilization analysis to support business growth.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:

Partner with application and infrastructure teams to design efficient data models and share best practices through documentation and training initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Stay updated with emerging database technologies, tools, and automation frameworks to drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, and efficiency.

. 10 + years of Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools and automation.

. Expert-level expertise in Oracle Exadata administration, including performance tuning, storage optimization, and security.

. Strong proficiency in Database Server, with experience in high availability solutions (Always On, clustering, replication, etc.).

. Deep understanding of SQL, Database, indexing strategies, query optimization, and transaction management.

. Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on reliability, resilience, and scalability.

. Experience designing and implementing backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning.

. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.

. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams.
